Lorena Navarro Trujillo Mine She is a sociologist and professor-researcher at the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities "Alfonso Vélez Pliego" of the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP). Coordinator of the Working Group "Political Ecology in Latin America" of CLACSO. He also coordinates together with doctors Raquel Gutiérrez and Lucia Linsalata the Permanent Research Seminar "Community Entrapes and Forms of Politics" at the ICSyH of BUAP. Author of Making common against fragmentation in the city: experiences of urban autonomy (ICSyH / BUAP), You fight for the common. Social antagonism against the capitalist dispossession of natural assets in Mexico (ICSyH / BUAP, Bajo tierra ediciones, 2015) and with Claudia Composto Disputed Territories. Capitalist dispossession, struggles in defense of the natural commons and emancipatory alternatives in Latin America (Bajo tierra editions, 2014). He has published a score of articles on political ecology, capitalist dispossession, socio-environmental conflict and struggles in defense of life. He is a member of the National System of Researchers.

Wn this text I present a commentary on the essay "Inequalities and the re-politicization of the social in Latin America" by Juan Pablo Pérez Sáinz. Based on the critical approach that the author proposes to the processes of re-politicization of the social and (dis)empowerment, provoked by the profound mutations of the (neo)liberal order, I make an exercise of dialogue, expansion and feedback in terms of conflicts and collective responses, with transforming longings and possibilities in contexts of socio-environmental conflict. In particular, I present some traces of the social antagonism of community struggles in defense of life in the face of the extractivist offensive on territories and livelihoods.
