Carlos S. Ibarra is an anthropologist trained at the Escuela Nacional de Antropología e Historia-Unidad Chihuahua (2006-2010), has a master's degree in social anthropology from the Escuela de Antropología e Historia del Norte de México (2013-2015) and a PhD in cultural studies from the Colegio de la Frontera Norte. His doctoral dissertation addresses emerging Christian movements and processes of religious deconstruction in the northern border of Mexico.
