Agustin Vaca He was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco. He is a research professor at El Colegio de Jalisco and the National Institute of Anthropology and History. He obtained a BA in Philosophy from the University of Guadalajara and a Ph.D. in Romance Studies, with a specialty in Hispanic American Studies, from the Paul Valéry University, in Montpellier, France. He is the author of several books and articles on gender relations, Church-State relations in contemporary times, and cultural history. He has been a speaker at national and international conferences.
