Enriqueta Lerma Rodríguez se define como etnógrafa de corazón. Socióloga de formación y antropóloga por vocación; ha realizado investigación en los pueblos yaquis de Sonora, así como entre acatecos, q’anjobales, mames, tsotsiles y chujes de la frontera Chiapas-Guatemala.
