Ignacio Salvador Durán Ricardez He holds a PhD in Social Sciences with a specialization in Social Anthropology from CIESAS Occidente, and is a postdoctoral fellow in the line of Contemporary Cultures and Identities at the same institution. His research interests focus on the reconfiguration of social identities in the face of urban growth, the actuality of traditions and rituals linked to popular religiosity, and the way in which the collective memory of the past is recreated from present conditions. She is currently developing the project "Popular religiosity and transmission of tradition in suburban towns in the metropolitan area of Guadalajara: a proposal for intergenerational analysis".
