Joanildo Burity He is a political scientist, tenured researcher, professor and director of the Professional Master's Degree in Sociology in the National Network, at the Joaquim Nabuco Foundation, and professor of the postgraduate programs in sociology and political science at the Federal University of Pernambuco, Brazil. He was Senior Lecturer in the Departments of Government and International Affairs and Theology and Religion and Director of the Master's Program on Religion and Globalization at the University of Durham, England (2009-2013).
