The altar brings together elements of Mexican culture. The Cuir Cult was planned close to the dates of commemoration of the dead saints in Mexico, hence elements such as skulls, pan de muerto and cempasúchil were included in it. This tells us about the adaptability of these Protestant-Evangelical Cuir practices.

Reverend Sex and Nadia Arellano, introduced the trans baptisms, Exalting Little Courage. “Coming to a place that is called worship, even if we add cuir, is not easy and we honor that. Coming to a place where we talk about theology, in a world that has historically been built by white Christian supremacy, is not an easy thing. We want to honor it and we want to thank you for the trust. We also want to bless. To bless, means to speak well, well-say to heaven about someone. It is not a power given to us by the church, it is a power given to us by the divinity in us and today we want to bless you: Bless you, unbreakable spirits. Blessed is your joy that has the capacity to name and to keep expanding. Blessed are your bodies, bodies, sacred, precious and powerful bodies. Cuir pastors gathered to recognize, bless and welcome new members to the cuir and feminist believing community. The traditions/churches to which the pastors in the photo belong are: Comunidad de Fe Santa María Magdalena of Anglican tradition in El Salvador; Misión Cristiana Incluyente (mci) in Mexico; Comunidad Luterana del Perú; Comunidad Abrazo Disidente, which focuses on people with lgbtq+ and neurodivergent; Trans-Formando Community linked to the Costa Rican Lutheran Church; Metropolitan Community Church Mexico and Brazil; Latino Ministry in Oakland and the Baptist Church of Nazareth, Brazil.

“My first name, Miyu, is part of the name my mother gave me, but I didn't really like it (Yu). So I named it ‘mi’, because I feel that every time someone pronounces my name I am part of that person. Yu, which my mother taught me to write. Haira means ‘God’ in India, so I transposed my God, putting his name in me. This performance invites to the liberation and enjoyment of pleasure. To vindicate non-hegemonic bodies and depathologize women's experiences. When their behavior does not comply with the expected role of kindness and docility, they are called "hysterical", "intense"! Dissident Hysterics question the patriarchal frameworks through which women's desire, emotions and opinions have been historically invalidated.
